Mike Ogata, Sensei (Rokudan)

Ogata Sensei endeavors each time he encounters his students to convey the mutual respect and common courtesy that society needs. He has earned the rank of Rokudan (6th degree). He is an ardent practitioner of Kodokan Judo for several decades. He strives to ensure that all students receive the training they need to receive to succeed in the dojo as well as in life.

Pastor Machado, Sensei (Nidan)

Machado Sensei endeavors each time he encounters his students to convey the mutual respect and common courtesy that society sometimes lacks. He has earned the rank of Nidan (2nd degree). He has been a Judo practitioner for several decades, starting Judo in Venezuela and winning international competitions along the way. He actively engages with students to meet their needs and mentor them to succeed in Judo as well as in life.

Mrs. Juni, Coordinator

Mrs. Juni is active in getting the word out and helping our kids and young adults in the practice of Judo and life. She maintains the social media venues to keep the community aware of upcoming events and all to do with the dojo.

Mr. Alejandro, Coordinator

Alejandro is a Judo practitioner and manages the dojo websites to keep students and parents informed.

Mr. Mikail Wright, Therapist

Mr. Wright is a Judo practitioner and a psychotherapist, RCSWI, in the Central Florida area. He has received training in crisis intervention & deescalation, as well as dialectical behavior therapy & cognitive behavioral therapy. In his time before becoming a psychotherapist, Mr. Wright spent ten years as an Exceptional Student Education teacher & English teacher. His work is grounded in the principles of neurodiversity affirmation, ensuring that every client feels respected, understood, and empowered on their journey toward mental wellness.

Mr. Jim Hampton, Therapist

Mr. Hampton is a Judo practitioner who graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2000 with a graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology. He has 24 years of experience working with individuals of all ages, from infants to adults. Throughout his career, Jim has provided care for adults diagnosed with various conditions, including dysphagia, aphasia, and voice disorders, among others.

For the past 23 years, he has been the proud owner of Step-By-Step Therapy, a pediatric therapy company that employs 18 therapists specializing in occupational and speech therapy. The team at Step-By-Step Therapy works with children facing a range of challenges, including autism, Down syndrome, developmental delays, articulation delays, pragmatic delays, and other language-related difficulties.

Jim is dedicated to equipping both adults and children with the tools they need to lead happy and productive lives.
